Each year Major League Hacking (MLH) works with 150,000+ hackers, in our mission to empower hackers. This year 1 in 3 graduating CS students in the US, are alumni of our programs. Internationally, our footprint is similarly large, we've helped organizers host events on every continent— yes, even Antartica!
The MLH Top 50 spotlights the unique stories and meaningful contributions of hackers within our community. Members of the MLH Top 50 have a broad variety of backgrounds, experiences, and stories, but each makes our community stronger.
Whether it's hackers like Sarah Graywood or Mareline Ramirez, who leveraged MLH's resources to switch to a career in tech, or Harita & Sharada Suresh, who founded an award-winning nonprofit in India to tackle equity gaps in tech education - these hackers have stood out in the ways they serve and strengthen the community.

Who is MLH?
Major League Hacking is the official student hackathon league. Each year, we power nearly 2,000 invention competitions that inspire innovation, cultivate communities and teach computer science skills to more than 150,000 students around the world. MLH is an engaged and passionate maker community, consisting of the next generation of technology leaders and entrepreneurs.
What is a hacker?
A hacker is anyone who has an interest in technology, who attends hackathons, and has in their own time, learned and built projects and inventions. You don’t have to be a programmer and you certainly don’t have to be majoring in Computer Science.
How were the MLH Top 50 hackers chosen?
Major League Hacking (MLH) is the official student hackathon league. Each year, we power over 300 weekend-long invention competitions that inspire innovation, cultivate communities and teach computer science skills to more than 500,000 developers around the world.
